Default Good Range in Bucks County

    Hello-
I'm in the process of getting my Concealed Carry permit, just dropped off my application the other day. I'm going to be getting a hand gun however I want to try some out to get a feel for them. Ready Aim Fire is close to me however I have heard conflicting reports of how the place is. Are there any other local ranges you can recommend?

    I second Classic Pistol.

Went to Ready Aim Fire twice. First time wasn't a good experience, but I thought I would give them a second chance a couple of years later. After I was swept with another persons gun within 15 minutes, I looked at my son and said lets go. He said good because the same thing happened to him. They don't seem to watch the people who are shooting.

When I bought my first handgun at Classic Pistol years ago I took a beginners course (even being around firearms my whole life) and it was very good. Since then I have bought most of my handguns there. Not the cheapest, but great service.

Took my sister there to teach her to shoot, and Bob went out of his way to accommodate her. Didn't charge her for guns she wanted to try, just the ammo.

Another positive report on Classic Pistol. The wife and I are members there and shoot often. Great bunch of people behind the counter, always ready to answer any questions.

I havent been to CP in a decade, but it at the time it was alright.

If they offer a beginner's course, I would take it.

The OP is too close to Ready Aim Fire not to check it out. I've kept a membership there for a few years for convenience. The staff are fine by me, but they don't babysit, so you have to watch out for your self if you see something funky going on.

True, they get some people off the street who have little training or common sense. The best way to avoid that, if your schedule permits, is to go during the weekdays.
