    Question S&W 438 or 637?

I want one of these to be a BUG carried on my ankle (carried here most often) or in my document pocket (carried there sometimes) in my winter jacket. This would be a back up gun to my primary. Which do you guys like better and why?

Edit to add: I hate DAO revolvers so no 432/642 models.

The 438 would be the way to go to help avoid possible snags while drawing. It's uglier than the 637 but more practical.

Cocking a defensive revolver is asking for trouble. I'm just putting it out there.

I've never had a hammered snub nose revolver snag on anything, but I've also never drawn one in a defensive situation. I would still personally pick the 637.
