Crazy whackjob german lady at Weis on 739

I was food shopping today and some old, crusty socialist german lady told me she hated my NRA shirt. She then told me its nothing personal. I told her that in America we have a constitution for a reason and if she is a big fan of government control, why did she leave Germany. She said she has seen too many shootings (deflection). I then told her my German relatives see firsthand the effects of too much govt control and the violence from the 'refugee' crisis. Also that it is really convenient for her to come to America and reap the benefits but then vote to change it into the same place she just left. Later on her husband caught up with me and expressed his support for gun rights. He then told me what everyone else already knows, his wife is a nutjob leftist who won't see reason.

So if you guys want to piss off a liberal, don your NRA shirts, grab your OC setup and head over to Weis.

If someone whom I did not know were to tell me, unprompted by anything I said, completely out of the blue, that he/shit/it hated whatever message was printed on my shirt, regardless of what it was, I can't help but think my response would be, "Well who the fuck asked you, and why do you think I would give a shit what you think?"

Gotta love old people that don't have a filter or guard on their mouths. I think you handled the confrontation very well instead of giver her the "old fuck off this is merica" response which will do nothing but further fuel her warped view of American gun owners and 2a supporters. Her German history alone supports the fact that armed citizens can make all that difference in the government your country has. She should stop confusing Nazi murders, thug life and drug wars with American gun owners and liberty lovers.

I delight in wearing my NRA ballcap generally and especially when heading into enemy territory, e.g., Swarthmore, and I'm always ready to calmly and intelligently discuss and debate the issue of individual liberty, but alas, I'm never confronted with more than the occasional disdainful stare. Apparently, being big and mean looking and advertising I may be armed is an impediment to impromptu dialog.
