1911A1 Best GI style 1911 arbitrarily under $800
I've been looking lately at maybe picking up another 1911 and leaning heavily to the Colt 70 series government...then again almost $800 for a GI style 1911 is a lot...
I've already got a Auto Ordnance pkz which is very nice but I was thinking blued would be nice.
Any recommendations? I'm still thinking the Colt is the way to go because it's a colt...

If you are on a budget then I am convinced that RIA hands down makes the best 1911 for your buck. If you need a logo on the side of your gun that makes you feel good at night then I guess go for the Colt if not then check out RIA.

I really liked my Tisas 1911A1. You'd just have to live with the fact it was made in Turkey.

RIA for price.
Though, I recommend checking out a Ruger SR1911. It's going to have a few more features than a base design, but they come in at price points in the 600-800 dollar range.

I have a parkerized RIA GI model. I think it's more accurate than my 70 Series Gold Cup.
Anybody that shoots it is blown away at how well it shoots.
Get one of each of these.

RIA. I also have a High Standard 1911 that is really nice. Took a chance on it and not disappointed.
A Republic, if you can keep it.

Another vote for RIA if it is about the dollars.

What no Taurus 1911? Used to be the go to budget 1911 with lots of upgrades found on higher end ones. Or has their quality fallen off lately and they have the curse of bad reputation and customer service?
I don't own one but I was looking at one time for another 1911 but I decided not.Derrion Albert was my Hero.
