County ordinance needs updating to comply with the UFA specifically Division 6, Parks and Recreation, Chapter 650, Park Rules and Regulations, Section 650-1, Prohibited Activities, Subsection H, Weapons and Explosives.

    (1) Discharge of any firearm or weapon, including but not limited to handguns, rifles, shotguns, crossbow, bow and arrow, air rifle or pistol, any device firing a projectile by compressed gas or spring, such as paintball devices, or as otherwise specifically allowed by permit issued by the Parks Department.
Makes no exemption/exception for defense of self or others.

    (2) Brandishing of a firearm or weapon, including but not limited to handguns, rifles, shotguns, crossbow, bow and arrow, air rifle or pistol, any device firing a projectile by compressed gas or spring, such as paintball devices, except as otherwise specifically allowed by permit issued by the Parks Department. Firearms may be transported through the park if kept in a car trunk, enclosed in a case, or otherwise inaccessible to use. Nothing contained herein shall prohibit any person licensed under the Pennsylvania Uniform Firearms Act, 18. P.S. § 6109, from possession of a firearm as defined in the Pennsylvania Uniform Firearms Act, 18 P.S. § 6102.
Contains an exception/exemption of sorts for those possessing an LTCF. The wording, however, says you can possess, but not necessarily carry.

Of course, we all know that open carry does not require one to be licensed, but, in reality, the only way you're going to get to the park is in a vehicle of some sort (yours or someone else's), and transport in a vehicle does require a license, but that's not the point.

THIS TOPIC WAS ORIGINALLY RAISED IN 2008 AND AGAIN IN 2012. The sign was supposed to be fixed, four years ago.

The irony, the settlers that lived in that cabin had guns and drank whiskey.

It said "No Rioting", but it was deemed to be racist.

Clear pre-emption violation. Are there staff there frisking and wanding visitors? How famous do you want to be? I'd untuck my shirt and go about my business. You could contact the municipality.

Also, they have the biggest speed bumps. They're ridiculous.
In America arms are free merchandise such that anyone who has the capital may make their houses into armories and their gardens into parks of artillery. - Ira Allen, 1796
