Winchester 190 project
I picked up a Winchester 190 project. I bought it disassembled and the finish was removed off of most of the gun. The receiver is aluminum. I am looking at blasting the rest of the finish off. I would like to use the same media on the aluminum (paint?)and steel parts(blued). The inside of the receiver is hard to get at with steel wool, otherwise I would just remove the paint(?) that way. The barrel still has some bluing. I'm pretty sure glass beads would remove the remaining bluing, but i don't want to pit the aluminum receiver.
Will glass beads pit the aluminum receiver?
Will plastic beads remove bluing?
Any suggestions?

Re: Winchester 190 project
Try ordinary vinegar for the bluing.
You can find info online.
I highly doubt plastic beads will remove bluing.
Paint stripper for the aluminum.
