Thanks for the replies. I was just getting into guns back when I lived in PA and have lived in AZ and OH since then. PA seems a bit less gun friendly than those two overall, but nowhere near as bad as many states, of course.

I just read that private handgun transfers have to go through something called PICS and that it keeps a "database," wink wink. Forgot about that.

Arizona and Ohio are both stated where you are mandated to inform a police officer of you have firearm in your car. No such law exists here in PA. It's not all bad compared to those two states.

They usually drive to said grocery store with a license plate on the front of their car in my neck of the woods.

I've seen more NJ, NY & MD plates in the last year in the LHV/Q-town area than I've seen in the last 20 years.

Yeah, been reading up on it. Man, I really was a newbie when I lived in PA before, didn't even know about PICS vs NICS and all that.
