    Default Current smallest 9mm semi-auto?

Hey guys and gals. Looking to find a ultra compact 9mm for days I'm out in gym shorts or making a quick trip to the store.

I had a Taurus tcp that I really liked, but being the only 380 I owned, it didn't make sense to keep ammo for it nor did it make sense to buy dies to reload it.

So I'm looking for the smallest/lightest 9mm. I think I narrowed it down to the kahr Cm9... As its the only one that feels like a step down from my shield (compared to the Lc9 I handled at least). However I was wondering if there was anything smaller out there currently?

    Thanks!

I have a Beretta Nano. That's pretty small. Usually can be found for around $300. Sig Sauer P290 might be another option too.

The Kahr and maybe the Sig 938 are going to be the smallest reliable semi auto's on the current market there is also the Diamond Back DB9 but I would stay away from it as DB has some pretty shitty quality control issues. The Kahr is a lot of pistol for the money while it can be pretty snappy to shoot it's reliable, comfortable and very affordable.

Good call on the 290 it's a very over looked pistol.

    Look at the Beretta Nano.

Here's a TCP on top of a Nano...

Also check out the Sig P290 (below vs TCP)

Look at the Ruger Lc9s. It is small but has enough barrel length to be accurate out to 50 yards.

The photo shows the Sig P938 Extreme compared to the Ruger LCP it replaced for me. The Sneaky Pete holsters show the difference in real estate those 1/4" differences can take up. Note that without the laser and the extended mag, there are smaller holsters that will fit the Sig. Note also the weight difference is substantial, but the Sig can actually be fun to shoot while the LCP is more of a chore.

ETA: The Sig is SA only and like a 1911 is meant to be carried "cocked and locked".

    Thanks.

If I didn't already have a Nano and an LC9s, I'd definitely buy a P290. It's hard to justify buying another pocket 9mm.

Of course if I ever come across an insane deal, I'll buy.

The Taurus pt 709 slim is a Tcp scaled up for 9mm para. The khar PM9 is smaller than the CM. I there many others from each gun maker today in that segment.
