Idiot with a concealed carry permit.

Driving home this afternoon on a two lane road. Sign says lanes merge up ahead. I gave the car some gas to pass the car in the other lane ( was ahead of him already). He didn't like that so he gave it gas to prevent me from passing. I was well ahead, there should not have been a safety issue, except this bozo just didn't want me to be in front of him. His nose was a couple of feet ahead of my rear bumper- I couldn't slow down to let him pass, it was already one lane. So I gave it more gas to prevent his nose from smashing into my rear panel. I look in my rear view, he is going ballistic, screaming and giving me the finger. He was behind me for a few miles,riding very close, and when I got to a red light, I watched him in my rear view- he hold ups a wallet with a concealed carry permit displayed-the only reason I knew what it was, was because I have one myself. WTF??? So I took my pistol out of the compartment and placed on my lap, and watched him at every stop sign and light.
I avoid confrontation at all cost; never flip anyone the bird when driving, never do anything that would be considered aggressive or confrontational. I carry a gun, and I do not want to be in a situation where I have to use it, so I just avoid, and not inflame any situation. I did not do anything that remotely suggested that I might be looking for a altercation. So why did he flash his concealed carry card. Was he being macho and trying to scare or intimidate?
Ive heard many who are opposed to CCs say that a permit will embolden people to be reckless, act like cowboys, and make situations MORE dangerous because they think they have a license to be an A-hole. I never knew or know any CC holders who are that way, and tell those who are opposed that carrying makes you more cautious about avoiding confrontation- but I guess there are reckless a holes out there who do carry.

Nope I saw it it was a concealed carry permit; posts doubting the ability to see it notwithstanding.

Simple background check and 20 bucks gets you a LTCF. You really have to try to screw it up so you can't get one in this state.
