I cringe every time I see or hear the word "democracy". To me it is an evil word.

I'm gonna write up a letter and fire it off to these media hacks. And just so everyone knows....

The United States of America is NOT a democracy!! We are a constitutional representative REPUBLIC.

I dont think anyone is old enough to have witnessed the one and only democracy to ever exist to be sick of it.. ....well there might be a couple old farts here that might have seen the Parthenon be built at that time.

By definition if we were a Democracy minority votes would be shot down and the majority would always win and offer no protection to the minority. Can you imagine what that would do if we had to have a vote on any legilation before it was to be passed? I almost like the idea, but it scares the hell out of me at the same time since there are so many easily influenced sheep . . . I mean people out there.
