Butler County 2A Rally, Saturday August 27th 2016

It was nice, much better attended than last year, but still just a couple hundred people. The best speaker was an Englishman who talked about gun confiscation in the U.K. and how we don't want the same here. He was good, even though it was his first time speaking in public. There were a lot of people OC'ing, maybe half of the crowd. You could tell many of them don't normally OC - lots of small pistols in crappy nylon holsters. The mayor told me he'd proclaim an OC day every year for the rallies, as long as he's in office. Cool guy.

I'll post some pics soon. I didn't get a picture of the guy with a big Trump sign on his Jeep, pulling a trailer with an 8 to 10' elephant. I hope Sam got some shots of it.

The rally went well, good speakers and typical attendance for this type of rally which really is sad given the current state of affairs. Thanks Scruff for your involvement in the organization of the event. Good Job!

Well, that was all of 30 seconds.

A guy from FOAC misspoke by saying that the moment you get in a vehicle, your gun is "concealed".
Well, not really, but.

The news didn't really show or say much else aside from saying "People from all over the world came to Butler" - and mentioned "from as far away as Great Britain".


They did segue into it by first mentioning a police shootout in West Virginia.

Aw c'mon, it was a diverse group! We had SA, DA, DA/SA, revolvers, semi-autos, hand cannons, mouse guns, black guns, blued guns, stainless, camo, IWB, OWB, thigh rigs, cowboy rigs, Mexican carry, Serpas, leather, kydex, nylon, single-point, double-point, AR's, bolt-actions, and an on-dog carry.

Each one different, like snowflakes, and beautiful. Everything but polished chrome.
