    Default Political Parties-Then & Now

Over the past 40 years they have both moved to the left, The Republican party today is much like the Democrat party of 1960 and the Democrat party of today is like the Socialist party of 1960, could you imagine a Democrat of today asking "ask not what your country can do for you' never happen.

The Libretarian party of today is closer to the Republican party of 1960. Snide remarks expected.

That's understandable though. I'm glad that today's "Neocons" no longer walk around dropping "N-bombs" and beating gays. I'm also glad they are a lot more environmentally friendly. On the other hand, I don't fear change but the problem with many liberals is that they discard experience as always being old and thus wrong.
"The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of 'liberalism,' they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened."

In 1960 no industrial country was 'environmentaly friendly' there were cigarette machines in the hospital halls, Edward R. Murrow gave the news with a cigarette in his hand on TV. Today the U.S. can be environmentaly friendly cause we have almost no heavy industry left.

I don't know what N-Bombs were droped in the 60s but if that is related to N-words it was southern democrats like Bull Connor who passed all the Jim Crow laws down south, not republicans.
