I have decided to get more serious about my deer hunting and have some questions.

I have decided to buy some game cameras and try to do more than just go out during rifle season and hope to get a deer. My first question is regarding bait. The hunting manual 4 PA is pretty vague on what is considered bait. I was looking at some of these bags of minerals things like deer cane excetera. Is this stuff legal to use? Are deer really attracted to it? Do you guys use it? How long before I intend to hunt in an area could I put this powder down and have it be considered gone by the time I am hunting there?

Get some corn with molasses and feed them every few days. Bait has to be out of the area 30 days before archery starts. Place bait under an oak tree so the deer that have been conditioned to come eat your corn have acorns once you stop feeding them.
Corn with molasses can be found at any feed store and most hardware stores.
