Re: Have you stepped up on you carry, OC or CC?
Work isn't carry friendly but I pocket carry my G43 anyways. Not going to change.
When away from work I OC a G17 in addition to the 43, and a reload mag for each. Just ordered a level 3 holster for the 17 (actually it's a 34 holster, I have one of those too), to up my chances against a gun grab.
If there's active threats (like the rage day hoax) I put the AR pistol in the trunk.

If carrying in my own home counts, then yes.

Re: Have you stepped up on you carry, OC or CC?
To a small degree, yes. I'm not a police officer or anything so I don't feel like there's an elevated threat level against me in particular, but our world seems like it's getting crazier, like you said, so I have been making a bigger point of carrying my .45 every day, all the time, even at work (yay for having pro-gun bosses, lol). I always have a .380 in my pocket, but I've been trying to CC my larger pistol more often lately.

I have stopped being lazy by choosing my pocket pistol more often than not. I'm back to mostly carrying my HK P30SK with a spare mag.

As an aside, how to we reconcile telling antis that gun ownership is at an all time high while violent crime of all types continues to drop, with the feeling that we need to "step up" our carry?

Re: Have you stepped up on you carry, OC or CC?
Handgun carry has been the standard for several years. Recent events have me thinking of adding an AR (unloaded of course). The problem is the vehicle I drive doesn't offer much in the way of carbine storage/concealment. I may just have to break it down and use one of my longer backpacks.
Gotta get the AR pistol off the wish list and into the inventory.

Re: Have you stepped up on you carry, OC or CC?
The only fleeting thought I have is about open carry which is my norm. I'm not a cop. If some loser wants five minutes of infamy could I be a target because of his mistaken thought I'm the cop he wants to kill.
Fleeting. I think showing my support for the 2nd, having people talk to me and learn and for others to consider their role in their own safety outweighs such a minuscule possibility.

I'm at the Jersey shore for the summer and as defenseless as a newborn babe. Luckily, the town is full of summer rent-a-cops who are always only minutes away.

I've started to carry more routinely and even at home. Can't carry at work, but everywhere else, yes.
