CCW Transfer from WV to PA
I recently moved from WV to PA. I currently possess a valid WV CCW permit. Being that I have moved and changed my drivers license to PA, am I required to transfer my CCW to PA as well? Or can I still legally carry with my WV permit since both states reciprocate each other?

You must obtain a PA LTCF to carry concealed in PA since you are now a PA resident.

You can't transfer your WV permit. Since your now a PA resident, you can't carry on your WV either. The good news is getting a PA license is pretty easy. You simply go down to the county sheriff's office and apply. I don't know how Beaver County works. Some sheriffs issue on the spot and some make you wait a little bit.

Re: CCW Transfer from WV to PA
You're welcome. And welcome to PA!
BTW, on the application where it asks for REASON TO CARRY, we suggest marking only SELF DEFENSE. That also pretty much covers all the other categories. It's really an outdated question anyway.
If you feel you want to select other categories...at least make SELF DEFENSE one of them

Once you move to PA, you are no longer considered "any person" in the eyes of PA law! (Inside joke of a recent case)

Re: CCW Transfer from WV to PA
It seems to me the higher population of any given PA county is directly related to the time it takes to receive the LTCF.
