Ruger lc9s
Long story short, went pistol shopping with my wife and she fell in love with the lc9s. Anyone have personal experience with it. Maybe your wives, daughters or girlfriends experience?

Well the recoil is pretty snappy.

Re: Ruger lc9s
Take a look at the LC9S Pro, no external safety and no magazine disconnect.
Tomorrow's battle is won during today's practice.

Re: Ruger lc9s
I bought the original LC9 when it was first released and it is one of the only regrets I have in all of my firearm purchases. Worst. Trigger. Ever.
I know they improved the trigger with this model, but why can't these companies get it right the first time? The USA is now a banana republic. Only without the bananas....or the Republic.

Re: Ruger lc9s
Originally I bought a used Lc9. It was ok in most ways except the trigger required a lot of patience to get the feel of it, and that made it just acceptable.
I sold it and bought a used Lc9s Pro. It was much better than the Lc9 to the point I was extremely satisfied with the trigger. I thought that the absence of a safety would be ok. Then as read about the many self inflicted wounds from pistols with no safety I had second thoughts.
I cut my pistol teeth in the Corps when I carried M1911 in combat. It had three safeties: handgrip, half cock and a thumb safety. None of that slowed me down in a firefight, and I knew of no incident of an accidental shooting.
So I sold the Lc9s Pro and bought a new Lc9s. It is a good compromise between safety and speed.
I shoot Underwood Crtical Penatrator ammo (90 gr +P). It meets FBI penetration standards but reduces the kick when compared to 115 gr hollow point.
The Lc9s and the Critical Penatrator ammo are an excellent combination for concealed self defense.

Re: Ruger lc9s
I bought a LC9s, and I love it! It fits my short-fingered hand, and the trigger is easy to work.
I added rubber Talon Grips, which makes it easier to hold on.

My only issue is that it was easy to accidentally bump the mag release while shooting. I adjusted my thumb position a little, and that problem went away.
