More debate with a Moms Demand Action Supporter.

She: Posted a quote from HRC. "I'm not here to repeal the second amendment. I'm not here to take away your guns. I just don't want you to be shot by someone who shouldn't have a gun in the first place."

Me: There's only one problem with believing a statment like this from HRC. When she openly states that she would like to move toward the Australian model of registration, which ultimately led to confiscation, it is a little hard to believe the quote posted above. Mom's Demand Action is cherrypicking quotes to make the first step toward Australian-style restrictions more palatable to people that have no "skin in the game" because they are not themselves firearm owners. Consider that for a moment.

She: There's a difference between Australian model of registration and Australian restriction. And you comment about cherry-picking quotes. This came directly from her acceptance speech that she gave just a few days ago. And it was her only comment she made regarding guns during the DNC. She rarely says much about them.

Me: When the end result of one leads to the other, Miss, I fail to see a distinction. We do not require registration prior to a woman having an abortion because that would infringe on her personal liberty to choose. Why then would we consider registration for the purchase of a firearm, by a man or a woman, when the probability that a life will be taken by that firearm is orders of magnitude lower than that of an abortion? In either hand it is about individual liberties, is it not?


She has yet to respond.

I only watched a minute or so, the only thing they said is there were no mass
shooting since the ban, and gun crime went down 60%.

OK, I'm about fed up with all the anti-gun BS on social media, especially Facebook, lately. And since perception is reality, I've decided to not only respond to correct these BS posts, which are full of deliberately inaccurate information, but to go on the offensive I will not be apologetic for wanting to take responsibility for protecting my family. As such, I've decided to go on the offensive on FB and I recommend that anyone who participates on social media do the same.

Here's what I posted this evening. I already got one request to teach a woman from NY to shoot. If anyone is interested in sharing this to spread it, PM me and I'll send you my name and you can look it up.
