Default Let's talk about the Glock 42

Just got one a short time ago and it is still breaking me in. I like the size, the caliber is OK for a pocket piece and it doesn't beat my hands up, so far I've fired 150 rounds of my "break-in" 200. But I find it has a few foibles I have to adopt to.

Like my 19, my the heavy heel of my hand gets in the way of the magazine dropping out and can get pinched (painfully) if I try to slam a mag home. In fact with the 42 it seems that if my hand is in contact with any part of grip the magazine must be extracted. Is that something others find? I'm thinking of taking some very fine sandpaper to the magazines to smooth them out a bit especially in the area of the mag lock, any suggestions?

Try silicone lube in magwell and mag bodies before sanding.
