Default TX resident purchase at a gun show

After reading all the threads I could find on these forums, I have to say I am just as stumped as before I started reading. I thought this would be an easy question to answer. I have a TX DL and a FL CCW. I do not have a PA issued ID, can I purchase a firearm at a gun show in PA? Specificly the laws regarding long guns, assault rifles, and pistols.

Any help is much appreciated as I was planning on attending the show at the Philadelphia Army National Guard, but it seems like it would be a huge bummer if I am limited to buying accessories and food.

Now I have NY ID and can't buy from a FFL here apparently till I have a PA ID. I hear if you buy from private parties, the FFL can do transfers.

    Wicked
You should be able to buy long guns in Pa. I live in N.J. and have bought from dealers and gun shows as long as you can pass back ground check.

You can purchase, transfer and take possession of any long guns that are legal in your home state and PA.
You can only purchase/transfer through an FFL. No FTF w/out FFL involvement.
You can purchase handguns, but they MUST be transferred through a TX FFL.

    Hope that clears thing up

    Thanks
I'm just thinking that an FFL in PA will likely know NJ, NY, MD, and VA gun laws but when it comes to states that are further out they might not be as familiar and therefore not as comfortable in completing a sale. TX laws are very easy so I'm hoping that dealers are aware of that.

Dick's has their own policy. They can only sell to contiguous states.
I was told at a gunshow in Nevada that for me to purchase a rifle there it would have to be shipped to an FFL in PA. Again, something about contiguous states.

Was that a Nevada law or some sort of dealer specific rule?

    PK1,
Don't know whose law it is (was ). I tried to make 3 different purchases and was told the same thing all three times.
