When the G-20 summit was in Pittsburgh, I went sightseeing on my bike. I got to hear an LRAD from a block away, saw battalions of riot police marching in formation down Baum Blvd, protesters being handcuffed in East Liberty, broken windows, angry mobs in Oakland, and an armed and fenced perimeter around the convention center. It was much more fun than watching the 11:00 news. If I was in Philly, I'd do the same, watching at a comfortable distance from the worst mayhem.
