Default O'Reilly calls for gun control for "high-power heavy weapons"

This anti-gun asshat has bleated about this before. Now, he renews his cries for more infringement as he misinterprets the 2nd Amendment...

There is too much gun crime in the USA and high-powered weaponry is too easy to get.

    That's the fact.

    So let's deal with it.

We all have the right to bear arms, but we don't have the right to buy and maintain mortars even if you feel threatened by gangsters or a new world order.

No bazookas, no Sherman tanks, no hand grenades.

That's because the Second Amendment clearly states the government has the right to regulate militias made up of individuals in the name of public safety.

Therefore, Congress should debate what kind of weapons should be available for public sale and the states should decide what kind of carry laws are good for their people.

New laws are needed in the age of terrorism and mass murder.

The FBI and other federal agencies need the power to stop suspected terrorists or other evil-doers like Mateen from buying weapons.

That law needs to be very precise.

Also, gun dealers all across America should be required to report the sale of certain guns -- heavy weapons -- to the FBI.

Not handguns, but other weapons that would be defined by Congress.

Yeah I saw that last night. Later Kirsten Powers asks him if he really wants to ban the type of rifle the killer used and he said he does not know anything about rifles so congress should debate it. (like they know any more than he does). So he wants a ban on "powerful" rifles he knows nothing about but then says bazookas and mortars should be banned when they already are. Hopefully he will have someone on who can tell him machine guns are already regulated and a semi auto rifle is not an assault weapon.

In many states you cannot hunt deer with them because it is considered an unethical kill because of the small caliber, yet they are "high powered". Sure it is. People who know absolutely nothing have the attention of 10's of millions who listen to their every word.

This is a large part of it.

People want to be accepted, and the media is pushing this nonsense against guns, so many with no core simply go along.

Bill clearly has no grasp of 18th century language. The "well regulated" phrase simply meant well trained, much as British soldiers at the time were called "regulars".

I've long thought O'Reilly to be a buttclown of the lowest pond scum order. His killing Reagan book was the last straw, filled with one lie after another. Disgusting.
