I wish CNN would have reported that through the heroism and grit these US soldiers held firm and did not loose the base. They repelled the attack and won even though it was a scene of utter chaos. War is chaos. That's not the story. The story is what they accomplished.

I give those soldiers the up most respect for their heroism and courage. God only knows what was going through that soldiers mind at the time, or if he even thought he would make it out alive. It is very unfortunate for the fallen soldiers, but he was extremely lucky. They held their position, fought and accomplished.
Sadly enough lives were lost, but that is war........it's not pretty.
My hat goes off to those brave soldiers......
