Question How to dispose of empty powder container

Searched here and got nuthin', searched Google and got exactly bupkis, so...

I'm about to empty my 2nd pound of Titegroup. I still have the 1st can (jar? bottle?) because I wasn't sure what to do with it. I know it's smokeless, not black powder, and I know it burns instead of exploding, but I want to be responsible about tossing the containers.

    What do all y'all do?

    Just toss it as normal.
I'm only here for the wood c-rings.

    I assume it is empty.

Recycle bin. If you are worried about the neighbors or garbage man getting spooked, peel the label off.

You can also cut it up, the plastic can be heated up and molded (a poor man's Kydex substitute) to make things. I made trigger covers for my pocket guns from an old jar.

Cut the bottom out and set it over your powder measure so if you are away from the loading bench for a while you know what powder is in the hopper.

I currently only use one powder, and I empty the hopper back into the can between sessions so I don't have humidity problems, but this is near genius. Thanks.

Yes, empty. Just concerned about residue.

Burn off the residue before you throw it out?

    Soap & water!

I buy most of my powder in 8lb jugs , and often reuse those nice 1lb containers others throw out. I peel the old labels (filling with hot water helps) , and print out new labels with powder type , lot number and date.
    I don't speak English , I talk American!

There is not enough residue to do anything and any residue is probably graphite or other deterrent coatings. The plastic bottle is more flammable.

If there is a small amount of powder in the bottle just spread it out in your yard (its fertilizer)
