The method of operation is to private message you and tell you that you should contact such 'n such person at a given email address.

Please report the private messages. Staff will ban the offender, and I will implement an IP ban. Unfortunately these scammers are using VPN/proxy services, which may mean your VPN/proxy may be blocked.
Attention! About VPN's and foreign IP addresses.

When signing up, do so from a US based Internet Service Provider. Turn off any VPN/safe-browsing feature. Failure to do so will result with your new account denied.

If you run into a IP ban afterwards as a member, again - turn off your VPN or switch servers. We do not ban legit Internet Service Providers from the USA(exception for certain individual IP addresses). Free VPN's tend to get banned too. We try not to ban legit subscription VPN services, but they rarely label their IP blocks correctly.

If you run into an IP ban, it likely wasn't you.

I was considering one of their 1911s, but I really wish it came in a glossy blued finish. It seems like every 1911 nowadays is some sort of matte gray finish. I think that's the main reason why I planning on going with Colt.

If you really want one in glossy blue, it doesn't hurt to ask them. They seem to be a small enough outfit that they just may make one in glossy blue for you (they are semi-custom made 1911s). Other than that, I am very happy with my (stainless) Colt Combat Commander 1911.
