    Default Integrated Standoff

Anyone familiar with it? Is it a good idea or just a gimmick ? I was thinking about one of the new Honor Defense Pistols - but wanted to do a little more research first. I read up on f.i.s.t. and I guess it makes sense, but ?????

Gimmick and ugly in my opinion not to mention that extension will probably make it hard to find a holster plus that ghastly roll mark on the slide looks horrible.

They make other models w/o the f.is.t.. I didn't like the roll marks much either - lol.

How far do you have to push the slide back out of battery before it fails to fire? With 1911 types it's only about 1/8", with my CZ considerably more. I haven't tried a Glock yet. What did you find with your favorite EDC? If you're ever in a situation where you must press a gun a against a persons body, you're in deep kimchi to begin with, this might prevent a misfire.

When are you going to get a New Order Firearms pistol? PA needs a good handgun maker. Kahrs and Jericho pistols don't really impress me. PAFOA needs you to be the test monkey.

I think it's a gimmick, especially on a full sized handgun. Just like the knife mounted on the rail of a pistol. If you need the knife, you're in trouble already.
