Do gun companies allow employees to carry at work?

I dunno about that, but gun shows don't seem to have a problem with people boycotting them, despite their anti-carry policies.

I boycott who I choose. More accurately I avoid doing business with certain companies. Depends on how much I like the product or service or whatever. I don't think that I'm playing fast and loose with my principles. They are my principles after all

I would assume that firearms manufacturers of any appreciable size would have some sort of armed security on hand, just in case someone decided to do something stupid.

I suspect but don't know for sure. The bigger companies Have some of the policies dictated to them by their insurance provider. It could be the insurance copany sees it this way, if an employee shoots some one the insurance company is on the hook for the lawsuit that follows. If someone shoots an employee the insurance company has no lawsuit to defend. Cold and heartless as it is, that is the way they think.

I remember watching a video tour that MAC did of IWI in Harrisburg right here in PA.

The person giving the tour did mention that they gladly let their employees carry.

I'd love to buy something from them, but none of their stuff really is my kind of flavor.

My current employers official company policy as stated by company rules handbook says no firearms , knives or weapons on company property.

The owner of the company is a bit of a gun nut and is always talking guns with me and asking me to bring in some of my more exotic firearms.
He's also OK with me keeping a firearm in my truck.

I worked for a chemical company in Ohio for ten years. The position was home-based. Third day on the job, I was at corporate in Canton and talking to my boss, while he loaded stuff in his truck. " official company policy is, hold on, hand me that rifle out of my trunk, where was I? Oh yeah, policy is NO GUNS in the trucks EVER, Got that? Ok, give me the other rifle. So, I'm not going to ever hear you had a gun in the truck, right?" As he loaded both of them into his company truck.
I loved that job. We made so much money for the parent corporation that when they ran into money problems, they sold us off, and the new company screwed all of us. They only wanted three of our recipes.

Our company is rabidly liberal, anti "Offensive weapons of any type". The one manager tossed a contractor off the site for having a bow in his truck. the guy got hired a couple of years later by another firm, the manager saw him and had him tossed again for the same incident from before.

Most do not permit ANYONE except their in house security to have LOADED firearms. And all AMMO for testing is accounted for and secured in the testing area. That said, I know of one company that provides lockers for their employees to secure their firearms, before the employee enters the work area. Most are retired LEO armorers.
