Monroe County LTCF Processing Time
I am a new member of this Group but have been reading and gathering very good information from here for awhile. I know that this has been a topic that has been discussed before but from what i can see it has been a couple of years.
My question is I submitted my application for a LTCF in Monroe county 24 days ago. I have been a resident for 6 years, submitted my 2 references (which both has been sent back) included my tax statement. I have never been arrested and have no criminal record at all. I currently have non resident Concealed Carry permits from Utah, Florida and Connecticut and have purchased 2 handguns since living here with no problems at all. From what I have been reading in the past it has taken the full 45 days to receive your notification to come pick up your license. Is this still the case or have they improved the process in Monroe County?

Re: Monroe County LTCF Processing Time
I just went through the process a few months ago. I submitted my application on March 1 and did not receive my postcard of approval in the mail until about the first week in April, I believe it was roughly 38 days or something close to that. My background was very similar to yours. I called around the 30 day mark and asked for an update of why it was taking so long and they told me they had not yet completed the background check. Maybe give it another week and call and ask for the status, the lady I spoke with was very nice. Other than that, you're kinda at their mercy unfortunately..

Re: Monroe County LTCF Processing Time
Took me 35 days to receive the itty bitty strip of paper in the mail stating my LCTF was ready to pick up @ the Monroe Cty courthouse. Good luck!
