Good and bad news from H&K

It appears that H&K will be importing a modernized version of the gun known as the H&K SP89. The new version will be known as the H&K SP5K and is said to be available in July of this year .

Now for the bad news, according to the ad they are going to be priced at $2700.00. Not exactly a steal.

Yep and although there is a healthy "MP5 clone" market currently with prices starting well below H&K's forthcoming gun these are the real deal so to speak and should sell very well once they finally arrive.

I've never been one to buy expensive guns... but I've lusted over MP5s for ever and a day.

Might have to start saving pennies for that one, an SBR stamp, and a suppressor.

I might have been tempted if they would have kept the SP89 overall look.I was never big on the newer style handgrip.

Or you could buy ten Hi-Point carbines and just throw each one on the ground as the ten round mags run dry.

It's going to be competing with the cz skorpion and the sig mpx. That might encourage them to lower the price. On the other hand there are plenty of AR 15s out there but that didn't stop H&K to price their MR 556 in the somewhere between $2500.00 -$3000.00. However even at 2700.00 it's still going to piss off people who bought a used HK SP89 for $4K.

It would be neat if this causes the prices of the original SP89's to go down.I coud make room for one of those.
