Is the shoot still on for tomorrow?
Or cancelled due to all the rain?

I was told they would be setting up for the shoot Saturday afternoon.

I will update this post if I hear anything different.

I just got the phone call at 8:10 this morning that the shoot is cancelled!

Sorry for the confusion, we had been texting back and forth yesterday during the 3 gun shoot.

The weather this year so far hasn't been cooperating with our event schedule.

What's a sample of the course of fire? I'm thinking about taking a trip out to one with my son's and his CX4 Storm. Would 15rd mags work? Are there any pictures I can show him?

Unfortunately I do not have any pictures of the stages. The stages change from month to month, and the targets can vary in distance.

The course of fire consists of 5 steel plates, 4 white and 1 red. The red plate is the stop plate, and may be located in any sequence of targets.. You are to engage the 4 white plates in any order then the red stop plate. You shoot each stage 3 times and use your best time from each stage to determine your match score.

15 round magazines are fine, you are only allowed to load 10 rounds for each string of fire. It's best to have 3 magazines loaded with the 10 round max when you come to the line. At most 150 rounds per firearm is needed per shooter if you were to exhaust all 10 rounds per string of fire.

Penalties are applied for shooting the stop plate prior to clearing the white plates, as well as if you exhaust all 10 rounds and do not get to the stop plate.

I hope that helps! I do not run this event, so if you need any more information or clarification I can get it for you or get you in contact with them.

That helps a lot. I can prepare for that type of plate match.
