I found one of those old M16 kits
I haven't seen these available for a while. This rifle is actually the display at Tropp and they're selling the kits for 429. I didn't bite as it's a little high but I have a feeling I'll be back. I have a few lowers waiting for something to happen.

Re: I found one of those old M16 kits
Pardon my lack of knowledge, but what is an "old M16 kit"?
That appears to be a complete rifle.

Re: I found one of those old M16 kits
I believe these were Israeli issued M16's re-imported as parts kits. Trop just completed one for display. Sarco had them in inventory as did a few other on line retailers.
If you want a classic looking AR then the search is over.gotta love her ;)

Really nice work and the butt stock is clean. Most of the ones I have looked at come cracked.
Nice find! Can I ask where you found this one?Right handed & left eye dominate type of awkward.

This brings flashbacks of a hot summer at Ft Dix in 1988 while in Basic Training.

I hated those straight handguard slip rings...when we got the A2s in '85 I thought that new slip ring was about the best upgrade...
