Re: Super Secret Facility in Altoona.
I took the liberty of making a screenshot of Google Maps.
Looks like all class C vehicles in the lot, and not many of them either. In my experience Google sattelite shots seem to be taken on weekends to avoid traffic and business intefering with clarity.
Apparently some storage containers at the the north end of the compound.
Looks like a dumpster in the back was emptied recently.
Looks like perhaps alot of climate control per square foot in this place too.
Could this be a place where legal evidence is managed and stored? Some kind of forensic lab maybe?

Re: Super Secret Facility in Altoona.
It's Homeland Security.. the old Navy Reserves building. I drilled there as a reservist and then I serviced the phone system a few years later. The mirror under the van thing, the whole security scan... It closed down in the early/mid 1980's as the Navy Reserves building and later opened it as Homeland Security. They made us Airdales start to drill at Pittsburgh airport at our own expense, gas, food, lodging, so I wrote them a nice thanks anyhow letter and left the reserves having fulfilled my 4 X 2 duty requirements. Re: Super Secret Facility in Altoona.
I was told by a gentleman in semi paramilitary clothing (tactical pants, military t shirt, boots, web belt etc) at a local bar one night that he worked there, testing weapons, it used to be weapon storage but has since been turned into underground ranges where they test experimental small arms. He seemed very credible to me. Looked like a military contractor type. Told me in not so many words they were testing caseless ammo rifles, but wouldnt say anymore. I asked how the powder or charge was loaded into this type of gun. He chuckles and said there is no charge in the gun. Said thanks to the bartender and got up and left. Maybe magnets, rails or lasers....who knows.

Break the rules and you get no bones,
all you get is ridicule, laughter,
and a trip to the house of pain.

Re: Super Secret Facility in Altoona.
There's a very simple way to find out what type of security they have there...open carry to Little Caesar's. I guarantee that a DHS truck will be by to make sure you get your pizza and vacate the area.
