They even ruined the Horseshoe Curve by building the trolly car to the top and concrete steps. One of the best parts of that was being at the bottom and hearing the train coming and then racing to the top up the old dirt path.

My friends and I used to sneak in there back in the mid 70's when it was the Naval Reserve center, they used to have a torpedo on display what you could check out.

As a former alarm monitor/sensor guy for Uncle Sam, I do get a kick out of the at least visually overkill double fence and other goodies and alarms and camera's attached, fencline. Pop up barrier is interesting too.

Biggest threat here are the tweakers/bath salt fanatics and scrappers.

when i used to go past it daily i thought it was a army mail place there was a postal truck that sat there all the time . i saw a a ice " border patrol"SUV going past the convention center maybe that is why it was there .
