Yup, apparently one is needed in Altoona to deal with all those restaurant employees and out of work rail workers, or maybe they're there to keep watch over Veeder Root. Don't think there's much else going on in Altoona anymore.

Apparently they should have been keeping watch over the Catholic Priests.

I'm sure my curiosity will cause some friendly FBI agents to come knocking on my door wanting to know why I was so curious about what the building is. I'm going to tell them the preferred career choice for retired State Troopers is now high dollar armed robbery. Can I call you with my one phone call?

The long building is indeed an indoor shooting range, with a huge bullet catcher at one end and all of the ventilation and lead recovery apparatus the feds want. Not sure how it ended up in Altoona, but I guess it works there as well as anywhere.
