Apparently they should have been keeping watch over the Catholic Priests.

I'm sure my curiosity will cause some friendly FBI agents to come knocking on my door wanting to know why I was so curious about what the building is. I'm going to tell them the preferred career choice for retired State Troopers is now high dollar armed robbery. Can I call you with my one phone call?

unclejumbo wins the prize. It is a firearms training center, used by all sorts of federal agencies such as Homeland Security, DEA and others. The long building is indeed an indoor shooting range, with a huge bullet catcher at one end and all of the ventilation and lead recovery apparatus the feds want. Not sure how it ended up in Altoona, but I guess it works there as well as anywhere.

No problem, they will cross reference with their monitoring of this site and realize we are really harmless!

Now, how do I get them to ship me some of that accumulated lead.

Walk right up to that gate and demand to talk to someone in charge. OC is preferable.
