How do I get an event posted in the event calendar?

Click on "Calendar" on the dark blue bar at the top. On the right side is a button "Add New Event".

Thanks, why didn't think of that?

The better question is, why worry about it? Does anyone even look at the calendar?

If people would quit posting to it as another general forum, it's a great way to post and link for local meet and greets, shoots and meet and eats. We need to do more of them but lately it doesn't seem as active as a few years ago.

As far as I know we have never had one up in my area. I thought I would give it a try to get something going.

When I posted them last year, almost nobody looked at the calender. You always seem to get more interest with a thread.

I tend to not look in specific topics, I hit the "what's new" button when I come here

Great. Go for it. Just give yourself plenty of time so you can get rsvps.

I held a couple eat and meets in NW PA. Used events to get the word out and to have people sign up. Sometimes adjusted day or time to max attendance. I always announced in a thread with a link which occasionally got bumped as well. It doesn't have to be anything more than a time or place. Once, at Hoss', we got a 'private' room. I always cleared the restaurants that we were an armed gun group, some of whom might OC before scheduling. Did not have any issues. (Hoss' and Leonardo's near / in Franklin - Thanks)
