Just to add. If your FFL tries to mark the virgin lower on the form as a pistol or a rifle instead of "other", simply ask them what the f*ck are they going to put down for barrel length?

Here's you answer:

A stripped lower, no matter who makes it is an "Other" in the eyes of the ATF and PSP (now). Even if you buy a complete lower with either a pistol buffer or a rifle buffer and buttstock, it is still considered a "Other" as it has not been barreled yet...
