PMSC Initiation Question

I went to the membership meeting last month, paid the dues, had my picture taken, etc. The website says I should receive an acceptance letter and I MUST present it at the next meeting before I'm officially in. The next meeting is next Wednesday and I haven't seen anything in the mail. Should I be concerned? How long did it take you to get your acceptance letter?

I would drop a line to the membership committee chair, if you do not get a response I would just go to the next meeting. Unless your a card carrying commie I doubt you would not have been voted in.

I concur, go to the meeting regardless.

You maybe the last member to get in (for now). I heard through the grapevine membership to PMSC is now closed. If true (can't confirm at this time) it will be the first time ever! Or at least since I've been a member (10 years).
There has been talk from the board to make PMSC "Exclusive". Raise the dues to the point where only those that have "money" can afford to join.

We have some idiots on the board.

Was this voted on yet, officially discussed, on the agenda, or just a rumor? I guess that is what I get for being a bad member and not going to meetings, out of the loop.

Once you're a member we'll have to set up some "shotgun fun". A small group of us shoot CMP every Sunday. We like to mix it up sometimes with some other shooting activities. We shoot something we call "Tactical Trap". We take turns standing on top of the trap house (or right behind it) with our HD shotguns and call for 5 birds (as fast or as slow as you want) and blow them out of the sky (50 rounds). We've also set up shotgun stages in one of the training bays using card board targets, or balloons, or steel reactive targets.

I followed up on this. Membership is only temporarily closed until they find a replacement person to perform the duties.
