The Federal Ammo was released at the Shot Show in Vegas. Similar to powder coating or Hy-Tek coated bullets like I and Kings sell. Except they promote it as cheaper target ammo and its not that cheap.

It seems to be essentially Federal's version of the Herter's TNJ nylon-jacket ammo (loaded by CCI) that Cabela's has been selling, except with brass case instead of aluminum.
