Default Round 2 at 400 yards (video)

I hit a button and the video crashed----I lost some parts, but I am not going to look for them------Now to figure out, how I blew it away-----------OH POOP !

This is Volume # 2 , of FUN AT 400 Yards----------I moved a few times to gain an advantage. YA GOTTA' outwit the quarry. He's gonna' be a goner !

I cut 100 yards off of my 4 shots at 400 yards. When I took the shot, the video is only fair. The grizzly is at the very top of the screen.

I wonder if he knows, what may wack him ????????----Major clue here .

    The video------fossil

I am envious...I want to be retired, so I can spend cooler days hunting ground hogs. I wished I didn't live so far away from the farm that I grew up working on...if it was closer, I'd be hunting all the time.

I'd like to take a young ground hog, so I can cook it.

Hey Aubie: I would getcha' a youngin', but I can't hit the biggin's------------The real shootin' begins in about 4 weeks or so. For the time being, I will continue to give some longies' a bit of grey hair.

Then time to get serious and produce for the dairymen.

Slo mo vortex---almost head hit ! ----------------- Much better on full screen

A valiant effort Fossil! I love how you can see the wave trail of the round in that video.

I had a big old fatty out by our spring house last week, but he ran, and I havent seen him since. I'll have to try and rig up my camera and a spotting scope and make a video or two myself.

Way to go fossil! And I appreciate you making it a sporting event by intentionally splattering the dirt around him just to remind him he isn't at the top of the food chain in your backyard....

I bet he loses sleep over this

Thumbs up Re: Round 2 at 400 yards (video)

I so enjoy this thread. It brings back memories of my dad. He battled with this groundhog so long it was legendary in my family. My Kids are now in their 20's and we still laugh til we cry when we tell and re-tell the Pop-Pop vs the Groundhog stories. My poor dad could not hit this thing at 20 yrds with a scope! We all teased him about how the Groundhog laughs at him each time he missed a shot. I am talking many many shots! I shared this video with my kids and they immediately thought of my dad. He is gone now and so is the Groundhog. I got him with my dad's 22 right before I sold his house after he died. Thanks again for the video and please keep us posted on your battle! Good luck and shoot straight.
