Default Have we gone Glock crazy?

I just noticed out of the 19 threads on page 1 of the pistol section 6 of them have the word Glock in the title. I'm not against the pistol in any way and I personally own several of them but I am amazed at how one manufacturer has such a stronghold on the industry. All the haters have to notice and I bet it drives them crazy. I'm just pointing it out and not passing judgment either way. Has anyone else noticed how often questions and comments about Glock comes up?

They just work. They haven't given me any issues, while other handguns in my safe have.

A few weeks ago, I would have said I would not be buying another Glock. Now I'm thinking about a .45ACP one.... go figure.

Not yet. I've looked at a few when buying but none have impressed me enough. Considered a 43 for a moment, but it doesn't really fit a need.

Don't know what you're glocking about. Going to Glock day this weekend at the range here in Philly. I'm going to buy a 36 one of these days.

I might buy one someday if they come up with grips that don't feel like I'm holding a 2 X 4.

That's my main issue with Glocks, none of them feel comfortable in my hand.

The Gen 4 is much better than previous models. If you haven't tried one, that would be my suggestion.

I don't know the numbers but I bet if you add up all the Glocks and the 1911 types in the field you will well over 60% of the pistols out there. I am surprised there are not more posts...

Anyone know market share of these two?

I saw some post on FB the other day, it was a video about someone doing something with a Glock, and in the comments, the Glock haters were losing their minds. I wouldn't even try to argue with someone like that. I figure, if you haven't figured out that Glock makes a great service pistol out of the box for many people, maybe not you, but certainly for many people, and you want to say something like "all Glocks are garbage" on a public medium, then you're probably not that into guns. You probably don't shoot much, and you probably never do any competition or quality training. I'm sure there are some exceptions, but man, what a bunch of people not worth talking to. I totally understand if a Glock isn't comfortable for you, or the grip angle doesn't work with your natural wrist angle, but seriously, all are garbage? Aside from 1911s, Glocks dominate the action pistol competitions and the classes I attend. I have to think, the people knocking on Glock, probably don't get out much.

I've been Glock crazy for 25 years, some of you all are just late to the party.
