Smile RECOMMENDATION WANTED ON OPTICS FOR

A Savage MK II Heavy Barrel 22 lr ! Want to keep it under $100 but my expectations are high as I would like to consistently do dime size groupings at 50-75 yards and maybe even better ! I am accustomed to 3X9X40MM Scopes but would like to better with the Optics ! Thank You in advance for any input ! MDT

Ammo may limit your expectations on that, but this scope works very well.

Thank you for the input,Today I went with a Centerpoint 4-16X40mm From Walmart rings included for $69.97Sunshade also included Red & Green Illuminated reticle if desired,Yes a bit of overkill for my savage MK II Heavy Barrel Bolt action 22 LR but figure the Clarity is very good and If desired I can always put this Scope onto a centerfire short action rifle that i am looking for.Ground hogs are on the menu ! This is what I have sitting on top of mine:

    Scope:

    Sun shade
    http://www.amazon.com/Mueller-Optics.../dp/B0040O43L4

    Rings

    Put this under it.

Torque everything at 30 in lbs.

If your scope moves, you did it wrong.

I'd hardly say its overkill. I think it's perfect. I have a Vortex Crossfire II 4-12X40 on my Mark II FV-SR and I think it is great. Definitely not too much scope for that nice .22 rifle.
