It is pretty remarkable, but the bullet proof glass did not protect the man. If you look at the pictures that are behind the bullet proof glass, the RPG actually burns through or something and takes the man's arm completely off. If it would have hit dead center in the glass where his face was, it would have probably taken the head off. Either way, it's still pretty impressive. Sad thing is, the newest RPG's have EFP's (explosively formed penetrators) or something like that, and they will go through armor, including bullet proof glass fairly easily.

RPGs typically have an incindiary core that will be forced through any openings to burn what is inside upon impact so if it hit the middle it may have dispersed the incindiary material.

did I miss something? where was the big boom? Wouldn't an RPG exploding knock over that wimpy ass structure that they had built there?
The first vehicles normally on the scene of a crime are ambulances and police cruisers. If you are armed you have a chance to decide who gets transported in which vehicle, if you are not armed then that decision is made for you.

Be prepared, because someone else already is and no one knows their intent except them.

Glad I'm not the only one who thought those RPG's seemed a little weak.

Possibly were HE (High explosive) rounds with superquick fuze so most of explosive effect remains on outside of panels. Or could have been downloaded rounds for training purposes.

If they were using HEAT (High Explosive Anti_Tank) then the RPG would have generated a superhot jet of gas and molten metal to melt through the glass by virtue of its EFP (Explosively formed penetrator) and penetration would have been like the proverbial hot knife through butter.

Projectile is approx 4.5 lbs and muzzle velocity is about 425 ft/sec. Don't know what impact velocity would be downrange.

Also don't know whether same glass was used in both demos. The first slo mo indicates detonation on far side of panel (maybe using fuze-delay for penetration) where the second shows detonation in front (fuze Superquick). Or both were Superquick and the first demo was much thinner glass allowing some penetration.
