Default Does anyone use the Dip?

I was watching a Youtube video about using a Dip to clean suppressors. The byproduct however is extremely toxic. Does anyone use this sort of thing, and if so where do you dispose of the byproduct and is there a cost for doing so?

If you have stainless baffles, you can simply use vinegar in a mason jar. It does a fine job.

I am getting the Sparrow so the baffles will be stainless. Curious what do you do with the byproduct?

It is vinegar, pour it along your fence line to help keep weeds down. (It changes the PH of the soil)

I think even with vinegar you get the lead acetate that needs disposed of. My uncle is the hazmat officer for a major company near me. They produce lead acetate as a byproduct so he just dumps it in for me.

That said a combination of the dip in a mason jar submerged in my ultrasonic cleaner for 15 minutes does my baffles wounder.

Leave the jar open so the vinegar evaporates. I save the residue in a jar until there is enough saved to bother with disposal. Most areas have hazmat drop off days a few times a year. Just take the jar there and drop it off.

Personally I think the dip is just too toxic to deal with...whats the by product? lead acetate?

I wouldn't want to deal with the hassle of storing or disposing of that.

For my spectre ii i plan on getting a tumbler from harbor freight and using SS media

....And you will still end up with water that has lead particles in it that needs disposed of.
