Exclamation need help my wife is turning ANTI- GUN !

My wife has never been a supporter , but she has left me alone about my guns.
Recently she has been turning anti-gun, due to the media and recent shootings this year! ( makes me want to buy and hit the range more)
We have 2 kids 5/11. I tell her they are safer growing up in a safe, responsible pro-gun home, due to the fact that i have taken the mystery out of guns, teach them to treat every gun as if it's loaded.( everything is locked up) i have done my research to that end and i throw questions at them about how they would respond if they come upon a gun, i quiz them regularly.
my wife says she doesn't feel that having a gun in the home makes you any safer( i could shoot a family member by accident) or that carrying one (since we live in a safe nieghborhood ) would be needed.
Obviously this is causing friction in our marrige.
does anyone know where i can get my hands on verifiable facts to support my argument:
"THAT A HOME AND FAMILY PROTECTED BY A RESPONSIBLE GUN OWNER WHO CONTINUALLY TRAINS WITH HIS WEAPONS IS A SAFE HOME!
    thanks,
    Tim

Research crimes committed recently in your "safe" neighborhood and show them to her.

In my "safe" neighborhood within the past 2 years, they found a major drug trafficking house, there was family murdered by a 16yr old kid. There have been many burglaries and bank robberies.

There's no such thing as a safe neighborhood.

    Have her watch this video....

And then have her watch this one...

Then ask her "Which woman was safer?"

there is danger in everything in life. kitchen knives are dangerous. your child could drown in the toilet. the stairs are dangerous. some tainted food could kill you.

i have no clue how to deal with someone like your wife.

the safe neighborhood thing isnt quite a myth but it isnt a magic shield. someone tried to kill a friend in broad daylight in a busy parking lot at a upscale mall in an upper middle class area. you never know when or where something bad will happen.

i did know a young woman years ago whose parents believed that guns attracted violence. they honestly believed that having a gun in the house would bring violence to the house.

maybe it is time for a new wife.

Also, these "safe" neighborhoods are prime targets with the collapsing economy. The scum is coming out of their urban areas, casing homes for later burglaries.

Download the "Gunfacts Version 6.0" PDF for starters. Good luck...

Also have her go through this site, it's geared towards women.

There's a limited amount of pink on the site, so it's safe.

I'm not quite sure why you would say that. The OP said that there was "friction", but that in and of itself is not a valid reason for divorce.
