    Default National Firearms Museum

I recently had the honor to go to the National Firearms Museum at NRA HQ in VA. I don't know if anyone else has been there yet, but it was definately worth it. If you are into history, or just want to oohh and ahhh, (Like I did), then that's the place to do it.

Then I stopped by the gift shop, naturally. $136.00 later, I left.

I've been there several times and each time you see something you missed on the previous trip. If you are in the area, it is definitely worth a visit. I moved my son into his apartment which is within walking distance to the NRAHQ.

Yeah, I've visited 3 times while working in northern Virginia. Definitely a "must see" for anyone into firearm history or military arms. The price is right, too (FREE for NRA members).
I like how they have it laid out, starting the walking tour with primitive arms and following historical timeline to current day.
Personally, I enjoy looking at the custom handguns owned by well-known Americans including several Presidents, actors, and military men. Gotta love Patton's ivory-handled Peacemakers!

    Talking Re: National Firearms Museum

I have been there several times and always enjoyed my visit. If any of you ever get to Cody, Wyoming, there is a fantastic museum there, that is divided into a firearms museum, a Plains Indian museum, and a art museum. I only saw the firearms museum and Plains Indian museum... just happen to run out of time before I could get to the fine arts museum

Ditto on the Cody museum. Was there in May. Got to see the actual guns for Paladin, Little Joe, and Ben Cartwright amongst THOUSANDS of others.
