    Default McCauslin Rifles Carlisle Pa

Had a Winchester model 70 converted from 270 to 338 magnum. I bought the barrel off ebay and dropped it and the rifle off to Chad. Excellent work and a pleasure to deal with. Screwed the barrel on.headspaced and indexed it , replaced the extractor, and made sure it fed right and ejected correctly for $219. Plus it was done a week earlier than expected. Couldn't be happier and from now on he will do any work I may need. Highly recommend him. Thanks, Don

Chad does what ever I don't have the tooling to do anymore and always does a great job. I wish he'd hire some help for the easy stuff because he has a couple week back log in most cases lol. I hope he never closes his shop.

I just dropped off an old Knickerbocker 16 gauge double barrel for him to go over last week. Told me 2-3 weeks till he gets to it. I also have a sporterized Eddystone that he is going to rechamber into 300 win. magnum for me. Then I gotta figure out what the next project will be after that LOL.

I know what you mean - He's not only a great Gunsmith but he's one hell of a nice guy. I'm sure you will be real happy with the work he does for you.

Definitely happy with him. The 338 magnum he put together for me last year works as smooth as I could have hoped for. Do you know anyone around here that does stock checkering? I don't think Chad does, but then again I never asked him.

I don't all the guys locally who used to do it have either passed away or are retired.
