I haven't seen an auction of this quality and variety in a long time....

    It's at Alderfer's (www.AlderferAuction.com) on Tuesday April 17, 2018

The auction is broken into Lots 1-263 (accessories, parts, numerous reloading dies for common and not-so common calibers, brass, and ammo) and Lots 1001 - 1320 (firearms)

Here's the pdf file for the auction listing: http://bwws-assets.s3.amazonaws.com/...14423-0001.pdf

And here's the link to their firearms pics on Proxy Bid: https://www.proxibid.com/asp/Catalog.asp?aid=142586#Top

Lots of 1903's, 03A3's, M1 Carbines, Garands, Ruger single shot rifles, Trapdoors, EBR's, etc. Great pistol selections too!

If you're looking for something special (say, 4 cans of 7.62x54R????), it's probably in there...

They're in Hatfield, PA. Here the location on the map: http://www.alderferauction.com/conta...tions-lodging/

TANKS, JEEPS, & ARMOUR, Oh My! (Rock Island Premier Auction Sept 7 - 9th)

Unless you’ve been completely ignoring our social media accounts, you’re probably aware that we have some pretty fantastic military vehicles coming up for auction, beginning in the September 7 – 9 Premiere Firearms Auction. We have tanks, armored fighting vehicles (AFVs), Jeeps and lots of other items with a “cool factor” high enough that anyone can appreciate – not just the military vehicle collectors. Perhaps what most people can’t believe is that these vehicles can be owned in the private sector by regular, ordinary civilians.

Yeah, there's even a DUKW there too...

There are a couple of interesting three-day long auctions occurring in PA this month within an hour’s drive of where we live.

There’s always something that you can find (and afford to purchase) at any auction. But after looking through their listings, then the pictures for something that piqued my interest, well, I figured that my bidding just depends on the bidding of not only those who show up at the auction site but may also be bidding either on-line or by phone anywhere in the US.

And bidding is a good thing because unlike the stock market or some local retail shops, the bidding “market” ultimately sets the fair market value prices. Prudent bidders figure out what they’re willing to pay (which includes the auction premiums and on-line bidding charges. And of course, PA sales tax if you’re a resident in PA.

    So, here’s the earliest auction:

Alderfer Auction (Firearms Auction – October 16, 2018)

    Auction Listing: https://bwws-assets.s3.amazonaws.com...ms_listing.pdf
    Auction Photos: https://www.alderferauction.com/auct...-16-18-bw30822

Alderfer Auction (Firearms and Accessories Auction – October 17, 2018)

    Auction Listing: https://bwws-assets.s3.amazonaws.com...ng_oct._17.pdf
    Auction Photos: N/A

Alderfer Auction (Military Auction – October 18, 2018)

    Auction Listing: https://bwws-assets.s3.amazonaws.com...on_listing.pdf
    Auction Photos: N/A

Then at the end of the month, Morphy’s Auction occurring October 30 – November 2, 2018 (in Denver, PA – about 8 miles north of Ephrata and 12 miles south of Reading).

I don’t know how they’re gonna manage this, but the first two pages (of 50 items per page) were mostly all machine guns or WWII anti-tank rifles. There were 38 other pages of 50 per page behind them. Extremely high quality items (not my collection) – but there were four reproduction Gatling guns offered there.

Alderfer's was set-up at the Oaks show. Seems they are under new ownership/management. I've bought and consigned lots of guns there over the years , and they were the worst at misrepresenting their firearms.

OTOH , they sold the guns I consigned to them for way more than I could have asked for and been able to live with myself.

Without an auction forum and bidders across the US, what are the chances you could sell a single pistol for $110,000?

Apparently even CV-19 can't stop some auction houses.

Some of you may be interested in just scrolling through what's available at Alderfer's Auction about five days from now.

For those of you interested in adding to your pistol collection (Colt snake guns, mint condition Sig P210, etc.) or are looking for a particular shotgun or lever action, here's the link for their April 7, 2020 auction:

    https://bid.alderferauction.com/bid/48887?section=items

If you're interested in older rifles, military rifles (1903's, Garands, HK's, Barrett), or Raufoss MK211 anti-material .50 cal rounds, this is the place for their April 8th, 2020 auction:

    https://bid.alderferauction.com/bid/48890?section=items

I enjoyed just scrolling through the listings.

Cordier has one coming up also: http://www.cordierauction.com/curren...-tools-auction
This one was delayed/rescheduled from last week or so when it originally was to take place.
