Re: If you've signed up, say hi here.
CT, from the sound of it you've done enough service for both of us. I've never done any military service myself. I did put in many years as a volunteer firefighter, and am now a part time Public Safety Officer, but that's as close as I've ever come. Thank you for your service.

I worked there both as an hourly electronics mechanic installing the exterior free flood SONAR components and as a salaried worker as a construction liason between the buiding trades and engineersing.. Also worked 6 or more years supporting EB with the USS Ohio class tactical platform, Training center and refit revision of CCS.. Rickover was the "father" of the nuclear navy. He was involved in the design of the boat I was on
USS JAck SSN 605. Counter rotating shafts (2 screws). Turbine direct propulsion plant. Served aboard from 78-81. But I never met Hymie.
I Heard allot about how he would roast prospective Nuclear trained officers bound for the boats from the officers on the Jack and the stories...
The JAck was pier'ed at New London,Ct attached to the AS 11 Fulton... Ive seen a few other tenders at La Madaliena, Sardinia, Roda, Spain and Holy loch Scotland.. Good skimmers LOL.. I (we) would trade stuff with the guys.
They never liked how we submariners would cross their quarter deck... LOL after all we were Mchales navy.. "Permission to cross the patio daddio...." (Asking to go ashore from the tender).. And yer welcome...!Last edited by CTBob; August 5th, 2017 at 10:03 PM.

Re: If you've signed up, say hi here.
Hello all, I just found the site today after a Google search for Pa carry laws dug it up. We moved to Monroe County 10 years ago from the Peoples Republic of New Jersey. Been gun owners for several years and just recently received our LTCF. I run the Pocono chapter of Pink Pistols, we try to meet once a month up in Honesdale but the summer keeps everyone busy doing 'vacation-y' things. Looking forward to chatting and learning some new things from this forum.

Welcome Wookiee,
I'm new as well. Moved here to the Poconos 2 years ago from West Orange NJ. Getting courses running for Basic Pistol. It's hard gathering folks in this area their schedules are busy and very inconsistent. It's tough finding a time that works for the majority.
