Hi folks,

Noob here. I've managed to escape from NYC, where I've lived most of my life, and have relocated to Philadelphia with my wife - a Philly native. Particularly as a 2nd Amendment proponent, I am extremely happy to be out of NY and in PA. I haunted this forum from time to time before we moved, and it's been an excellent source of information.

I plan to apply for my LTCF as soon as possible, but have a major hitch in that I don't know anyone here. So at the moment, it's impossible for me to provide the required two non-relative personal references. Pain in the neck, especially as I am still looking for work, but I will apply as soon as I can.

I don't generally post but just had to say that this is a great site. I've lived in PA. for a few years now and have never taken advantage of my 2nd amendment right.
The three things I don't want to do is
1) say something stupid like I know what I'm talking about.
2) act stupid like I'm above learning.
3) do something stupid especially when l go to purchase my first firearm.

Hello, all.
Been lurking here for a while now reading a lot of great posts. Thought I would make an introduction today.
I live in Chester county and have been hunting and shooting since I was just a wee guy. Bought my first pistol this past week as I had someone walk into my home uninvited and steal food from my house!!! Went to the sheriff's office today and turned in my LTCF application.
Looking forward to great discussions here in PAFOA.

Long time lurker here.
I'm a 37yo construction worker, born and lived my entire life in sw pa.
Lifelong hunter, shooter and outdoorsman.
A few of the many things I enjoy wasting my time doing include all types of hunting, reloading, uspsa competition, hiking, camping, fly fishing and flytying.
