$12? I consider that greedy on their part (IMO).
I'll find something else to do that weekend.

Re: Oaks Extravaganza 4/01/16-4/03/16
Fully agree with Remington. The old VF show often had good buys, particularly in the more "oddball" areas (Lugers, Ballister-Molinas, Lee-Enfields etc) but from attending two of the Oaks "equivalent" I will simply use the $12 towards something more useful at the LGS. Not being a lover of "black rifles or combat tupperware" I will look elsewhere. A C&R FFL 03 works wonders. Dave_n

I don't understand. Normal gun shows usually cost $7 or $8 for 300 to 400 tables. How could anyone not consider $12 for 2000 tables a bargain? if you look at cost per table available, then this is the deal of the century. I think some people just like to complain.

Normal entry fees are $10. Minus $1 with coupon..$9. $1 coupon from $12 is $11. One or two dollars is nothing. Hell, you can easily not notice a two-bucks-too-much purchase from a scoundrel like Bri.

I can get in for free but its the point of charging that much money for a show
that the vendors pay for. Screw them, I'm with remington on this one.

2000 tables X $70= $140,000. But nothing is clear money, ever. We don't know what the operator's expenses are. How much they pay to rent the building, the extra for the third room, personnel that have to be paid union scale, taxes due on the profit. It's possible they make (percent-wise) less on the $10 two-room shows and balance it out with the three-room shows.
Perhaps a simplified look, if the concern is what the consumer gets for what he/she pays... it should be the $6 and $7 fees for 150 table shows that produce the "screw that"s

Re: Oaks Extravaganza 4/01/16-4/03/16
It is not the number but the "quality" of tables that counts. 600 tables of "junk" or the same guns in slightly different colors, plus 300 of assorted comestibles leaves 300 worth looking at "perhaps". I'll settle for a good LGS or a collectors gun show. Dave_n
