Default Xtreme Bullets Brass Credit Program

Anyone ever use Xtreme's brass credit program? The way it works is you ship them XX lbs of brass for which they load and they take $1.40/lb off your order. I.e. check out the hypothetical (not so hypothetical for me) below:

    4 500-round 124gr. 9mm @ $39.90 per = $159.60
Minus 5% for their normal sale = $151.62
    Plus $5.00 flat rate shipping = $156.62

Now, send in 40lbs of range pickup 9mm brass that you've accumulated = $100.62 total.

This brings your $/bullet to $0.05....I don't think that can be beat for new bullets...

If anyone's used the program, let me know how it turned out!

This is very tempting. Makes me wish people didn't clean up so well at my sportsman's club.

dont forget to figure in shipping costs to send them the brass probably around $30 for that much bulk.

True, two large flat rates would most likely be needed. It would definitely cut into your savings, but I imagine you'd still save a good amount.

Or you could sell it to local commercial loaders like me.

Right now 9mm pays 2 cents a casing. And by that math you get $20 at my shop or ship it to them @ 9lbs per 1k for $12.60 plus the cost the shipping ($15.35) and loose money.

    Back to my mantra.

SHOP LOCAL. Even if its not me.

I'll buy just about any caliber as long as its usable and not corroded. What I don't make into ammo I flip at the gunshows.

I used the Brass Credit Program with my last order from Freedom Munitions, worked well. If I knew anyone local I would gladly deal with them, but all I found were local recyclers that didn't offer much at all for spent brass.

Heck I'll pay $20 for 1000 9mm if anyone wants to get rid of some.
